How CSA works
The concept behind Community Supported Agriculture is that members of the community support a local farm by buying "shares" of the season's produce, and in turn receive freshly picked, highest quality and locally grown and pesticide-free produce. Almost all of our produce will be picked within hours of being delivered, so you will have a chance to enjoy it at its freshest! By becoming a member of our CSA, you will get to know your farmers directly and will be able to be a part of our farm as it grows. You will also know that you are helping to support your community and its economy by purchasing food locally. As an added bonus, your contribution helps the environment by reducing carbon emissions created by conventional practices of shipping produce long distance. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that our members receive abundant boxes filled with fresh produce that is well worth their money.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT IN YOUR CSA BOX?
The CSA box is a seasonally fresh assortment of fruits and vegetables that varies with the growing season. Early season CSA boxes may contain, lettuce, cabbage, romanesco, mustard greens, peas , cilantro, chard, kale, beets , carrots etc, or a variety of what is ripe at the time.
Later in the season, more summertime crops can be expected such as beans, zuchinni, eggplant, tomatoes, melons, strawberries, squash, corn etc.
